Windsor Sovereign Saddle

The Sovereign was designed by Trailrace and Mal Byrne as a pony dressage saddle but has been widely accepted as a show saddle for galloways and hacks. Constructed on a traditional English spring tree. The leather used is from the famous Sedgewick tannery in UK and the saddle is fully manufactured in the United Kingdom.

The Sovereign has a unique deep seat/short panel design which gives and excellent fit on wider/short backed horses/galloways.

Half gussets and a medium knee block allow close contact and helps prevent bridging on wider horses.

The close fitting panel finishes just under the back edge of the seat allows the saddle to be used on shorter backed horses. In fact a 16 Sovereign will fit on most horses from 13.2 hands. We have found it suits Arabians, Dressage Ponies, Riding Ponies and is now making it’s mark as a Large Pony/Galloway show saddle.
