In order to further safeguard the brain against rotational motion, the MIPS Brain Protection System (BPS) was developed. The brain is affected by rotational motion, which increases the risk of both moderate and severe brain damage. The MIPS BPS can minimise rotational motion by rerouting energies and forces that might otherwise be delivered to the brain when it is installed in a helmet.
